Buyer Beware!

As the old saying goes, “The bitter taste left by poor quality lingers long after the sweetness of a cheap price.”

In spite of the state of the economy, the industry has seen an increase in the number of “contractors” entering the sealcoating business who are giving customer bids at prices so low that they could not even cover the materials cost of the job if it was done properly.

SUCH BIDS ARE SIMPLY “TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE!”

Get the facts before you choose. Check how long a contractor has been in business and call their references to find out how good their reputation is. How much repeat business do they get? Are their customers happy with their work? Did the contractor provide written specifications on what is included, how the work will be done and what products will be used. You need to compare bids “apples to apples.” Asking these questions before making a decision can avoid problems later.
